About the Role:

We are seeking experienced Temenos Core Banking consultants to join our team of core banking Experts. Candidates will work across technical and functional streams to ensure seamless deployment, integration, architecture of Temenos and its related modules.

The role covers end-to-end activities from requirement gathering to post-go-live support, ensuring efficiency, regulatory compliance, and a superior user experience.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Responsibilities

As a Temenos Core Banking Consultant, the candidate will provide technical oversight and expert guidance on the configuration and architecture of Temenos modules, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and long-term technology strategy. The consultant will analyse the current-state architecture, identify gaps and inefficiencies, and define the future-state architecture to optimize processes, integrations, and system performance. They will design and manage integrations with internal and external systems using APIs, web services, and interface engines, while defining and implementing performance optimization strategies to ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability. The role includes overseeing version upgrades, patches, and module migrations, collaborating with DBAs, infrastructure, and cloud teams to establish robust environments, deployment strategies, and security standards.

Additionally, consultant will also assist in data migration, mapping legacy data to Temenos structures, and validating accuracy, lead post-go-live support, incident management, root cause analysis, and the implementation of automation, batch processing, and advanced reporting workflows to enhance operational efficiency. Acting as a trusted advisor, the consultant will guide business and IT stakeholders on best practices, continuous improvement, and innovative solutions to maximize the value of the Temenos Core Banking system.

Functional Responsibilities

As a Temenos Core Banking Consultant, the candidate will gather, analyse, and document business requirements across multiple banking domains, including retail, loans, deposits, payments, wealth, and treasury. They will map current-state (As-Is) and future-state (To-Be) processes and workflows, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements. The role includes configuring Temenos modules per business needs, including parameter setup, product mapping, account rules, and fee structures, and supporting UAT and SIT cycles by developing test scripts and validating functionality against business expectations.

The consultant will collaborate with business users to define product features, user journeys, and workflows, and provide functional guidance on integrations with digital channels, payment networks, and third-party systems. They will also support change management activities, deliver training, and create user guides and documentation. Additionally, the consultant will advise on functional technology strategy, helping to align process design and system capabilities with broader enterprise technology objectives, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related fields.
• 10–15 years of experience in financial services, with 7–10 years on Temenos modules. Temenos certifications (TLC or module-specific) are preferred.
• Temenos Certification preferred (Transact Learning Path / TLC / module-specific certification).
• Strong functional knowledge of banking products: retail, deposits, loans, payments, wealth, treasury, or structured products.
• Technical expertise: APIs, web services, interface engines, database management (Oracle/MSSQL), job scheduling, scripting, integration frameworks, system performance tuning, automation, and advanced reporting workflows.
• Proven experience in end-to-end core banking architecture design and optimization, with the ability to drive technology strategy.
• Understanding of banking regulatory frameworks (AML, KYC, Basel, IFRS).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Certifications in Temenos modules (Retail, Wealth, TAP, Payments).
• Experience with cloud deployment (AWS, Azure) or DevOps/CI-CD pipelines.
• Exposure to digital banking channels and fintech integration.
• Experience with large-scale banking transformation projects.
