DetailedRoles Responsibilities
A) Material Procurement Strategy Prepare material category procurement plans: Cement, Steel, RMC, Aggregates,Blocks, Waterproofing, Shuttering, Tiles, Paints, Plumbing Consumables, etc. Support project schedules by aligning PR PO Delivery timelines. Review BOQs and consumption data to prevent excess\/shortage procurement. Maintain 3\-month rolling procurement forecast with Planning Projectsteam. B) Vendor Management Development Identify, evaluate, and register approved vendors based on: Quality certification Delivery capability Production capacity Pricing structure payment terms Conduct site\/factory audits for performance and capability assessment. Ensure multi\-vendor sourcing per category to reduce dependency risk. Conduct price negotiation and drive long\-term rate contracts. C) Procurement Process Execution RFQ Rate Comparison Techno\-commercial Evaluation Approval PO Release Coordinate logistics and ensure materials are delivered to site as per pourcycle. Resolve disputes on quantity, quality TAT with vendors immediately. Ensure full compliance to material specification, drawings QA\/QCparameters. D) ERP\-Based Procurement Inventory Visibility Ensure real\-time data in ERP: PR\PO\GRN tracking Delivery status updates Material consumption dashboard Monitor stock levels at stores and prevent dead stock and material aging. Perform monthly reconciliation with stores finance. E) Compliance Documentation Ensure procurement meets: RERA standards IS\/BIS quality codes GST, e\-way bill statutory transport rules Maintain audit\-ready documentation for: Vendor approvals, PO files, GRN registers Delivery challans, rate finalizations, test certificates F) Cost Control Analytics Conduct rate benchmarking for all civil materials. Track price fluctuation of commodities like cement steel. Reduce procurement cost through negotiation, alternate materials, bulkordering. Publish monthly cost savings reports with justification and approvals. G) Stakeholder Coordination Weekly coordination with: Project Managers equirement urgent need handling QA\/QC team \quality approval and nonconformance closure Finance \payment clearance with GRN supplier invoice accuracy Legal \contract agreements commercial risk checks H) Vendor Performance Risk Mitigation Measure vendor performance through: OTIF (On\-Time\-In\-Full) Quality acceptance % Credit support Maintain an escalation mechanism for poor performance vendors. Continuously evaluate backup vendors to avoid supply disruptions. QualificationSkills Requirement
