documentation such as user guides, installation guides, release notes and help files for a range of complex software products. You will research and build knowledge about our products, services, technology, and concepts to be documented.

A typical day might involve:

· Participating in Agile scrum meetings and ceremonies

· Reviewing development requirements to identify what needs to be incorporated in the documentation set

· With other documentation team members, grooming documentation requirements to highlight the work required for current and future sprints

· Speaking to product owners, business analysts or developers to clarify documentation requirements

· Using the Insurance Risk Suite software to take appropriate screenshots for inclusion in the documentation

· Editing existing documentation to add new functionality and features

· Adhering to existing style guides and procedures

· Working from home or in the office

· Advocating for the end user at all times

What you bring:

· Native-level English, with excellent people and communication skills

· 4+ years’ experience as a technical author, preferably in the enterprise software or finance fields

· The ability to turn “developer-speak” and complex concepts into clear and concise information for end users

· Familiarity with the Agile software development life cycle

· Familiarity with project management software such as TFS, Jira or similar

· Experience of working with and adhering to a writing style guide to improve consistency across the documentation set

· Proficiency in MadCap Flare or other single-sourcing authoring tools is huge benefit

· An understanding of HTML and CSS and the benefit of using styles

· Good knowledge of Microsoft Word

· Some experience of using content management systems such as SVN or GIT for source control

· The ability to communicate effectively with all members of the team to get the information you need

· Excellent attention to detail

· Willingness to learn
