Responsible to generate, promote, and evaluate innovative ideas across all the series released products, to reduce product costs, without compromising the product functionality, quality, safety, performance, and regulatory requirements. Analyze designs, materials and manufacturing processes, and benchmark products and processes to suggest alternatives Coordinating, monitoring and assigning work packages to the VAVE support team (Value Analysis & Value Engineering) Responsibility for driving cost reduction measures end to end and reporting the savings. Responsibility for preparing and monitoring project milestones, deliverables, business cases, and savings achieved while maintaining relevant reports and documentation Identification of potential risks and preparation of mitigation plans Accountable for implementing the identified measures in series production and contributing towards Project s annual Cost Reduction targets. Interdisciplinary cooperation with the engineering, procurement and production departments as well as with suppliers at several global locations Qualifications: Successfully completed B.E. / B.Tech. / M.E. / M.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Automobile / Electrical / Industrial Engineering or any other similar engineering specializations Minimum 6 years of experience with Combustion engines and Generator Systems, and relevant experience in Product Cost Work / VAVE / Cost Analysis or similar projects Several years of project management experience and experience with multi-project management Understanding of product design, development, change management and manufacturing processes Proficiency with CAD and PLM tools (preferably PTC Creo and Windchill), SAP, DFMEA, ISO GD&T standards, DFA/DFM principles Knowledge of cost estimation tools or VAVE an advantage Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Very good knowledge of written and spoken English German language proficiency is an added advantage Flexible, Open, Analytical and structured way of working.
