Technical SEO

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed technical SEO audits to identify and resolve site issues (crawlability, indexing, canonicalization, duplicate content, etc.).
• Optimize website performance, focusing on Core Web Vitals, page speed, caching, lazy loading, minification, CDN, and other best practices.
• Manage and configure SEO tools: Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Sitebulb, and analyze reported issues.
• Implement technical fixes such as editing .htaccess, managing redirects, optimizing images, configuring plugins, and troubleshooting security/plugin conflicts.
• Work extensively on WordPress, handling plugins (Wordfence, RankMath/Yoast, caching plugins) and ensuring compatibility and security.
• Monitor and maintain XML sitemaps, robots.txt, schema markup, and structured data (Schema.org).
• Collaborate with developers to ensure SEO compatibility with advanced tech stacks (React.js, Node.js).
• Provide technical recommendations to improve crawl efficiency, indexation, and site architecture.
• Track and report on technical SEO performance, suggesting innovative strategies to enhance rankings and site visibility.
• Stay updated with the latest algorithm updates, technical trends, and best practices in SEO.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Marketing, IT, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a hands-on technical SEO role, with expertise in implementing (not just strategizing) technical solutions.
• Strong knowledge of WordPress, plugins (Wordfence, RankMath/Yoast, caching), and basic server configuration (Apache/Nginx).
• Solid understanding of Core Web Vitals, website speed optimization, and common performance tools (Google PageSpeed Insights, Lighthouse).
• Familiarity with website security, plugin conflict resolution, and compatibility checks.
• Knowledge of advanced web technologies (React.js, Node.js) is a plus.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for technical troubleshooting and optimization.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Experience working with cross-functional teams (developers, designers, marketers).
• Knowledge of structured data, schema markup, and rich snippets.
• Familiarity with server-side technologies (PHP, MySQL).
• Ability to proactively identify and resolve SEO-related technical challenges.
