Technical SEO

We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically proficient Technical SEO Specialist to join our growing SEO team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimising the technical foundation of our website to improve crawlability, indexation, site speed, structured data, and overall search performance. This role works closely with developers, content teams, and digital stakeholders to ensure that all SEO efforts are built on a strong technical infrastructure.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Conduct technical SEO audits to identify and resolve issues related to site architecture, crawlability, indexation, page speed, and mobile optimisation.
• Collaborate with development teams to implement technical recommendations including structured data (schema markup), canonical tags, hreflang, redirects, and internal linking improvements.
• Monitor website performance using tools like Google Search Console, PageSpeed Insights, Screaming Frog, and Lighthouse.
• Optimise site structure and URL hierarchy to support improved indexing and user experience.
• Implement and manage structured data to enhance visibility in SERPs.
• Identify and resolve crawl errors, broken links, duplicate content, and other technical issues.
• Work with content and editorial teams to align content publishing with technical SEO best practices.
• Track performance metrics and provide detailed technical SEO reports and insights.
• Stay updated on Google algorithm changes, emerging SEO technologies, and search engine guidelines.
• Support SEO A/B testing and experimentation in collaboration with analysts and developers.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a technical SEO role, ideally within a high-traffic or content-heavy website.
• Strong understanding of search engine algorithms, crawling, indexing, and ranking processes.
• Hands-on experience with technical SEO tools (e.g., Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, Ahrefs, SEMrush, DeepCrawl).
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and experience working with developers.
• Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Payload CMS) and headless architecture.
• Understanding of Core Web Vitals, site speed optimisation, and mobile-first indexing.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
