Job Description

Job Title: Technical Sales Executive – Electricals & IT Job Summary The Technical Sales Executive is responsible for promoting, selling, and supporting Electrical and IT products/solutions by understanding customer requirements, providing technical inputs, preparing quotations, and closing sales. The role bridges technical knowledge with sales skills to drive business growth. Key Responsibilities Identify and develop new customers for Electrical and IT products/services Handle sales of Electrical items (LT panels, cables, lighting, switches, earthing, etc.) and IT products (networking, CCTV, servers, structured cabling, AV, access control, etc.) Understand client technical requirements and recommend suitable solutions Prepare technical specifications, BOQs, quotations, and proposals Coordinate with design, engineering, and operations teams for project execution Attend site visits, client meetings, and technical discussions Negotiate pricing, terms, and close sales orders Follow up on payments, deliveries, and post-sales support Maintain CRM, sales reports, and customer data Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets Job Requirements Strong technical understanding of Electrical and IT systems Ability to explain technical solutions in a simple and clear manner Good communication, presentation, and negotiation skills Willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits Result-oriented and self-driven attitude Education & Experience Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, IT, or related field Experience: 2–6 years in technical sales (Electrical / IT / ELV preferred) Skills & Competencies Technical sales & solution selling BOQ & quotation preparation MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint Basic AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage Customer relationship management Market and competitor analysis Working Conditions Office + field sales role Client meetings, site visits, and project coordination Performance-based incentives applicable
