Job Responsibilities:

The Telematics Product Development Leader (TPDL) will lead the end-to-end design and development of connected vehicle systems, including Telematics Control Units (TCU), Vehicle Communication Gateways, and related IoT platforms. He/She will provide technical leadership across hardware, embedded software, and cloud integration domains, ensuring high reliability, security, and compliance with automotive standards.

1. Technical Skills:

• Minimum 6 years of experience (including 3+ years in a leadership role) in embedded system or telematics product development.
• Expertise in design and validation of Telematics Control Units (TCU), connectivity gateways, and vehicle data loggers.
• Hands-on experience with embedded C/C++, RTOS, and Linux-based development for telematics systems.
• Knowledge of wireless communication technologies – LTE/5G, GNSS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and V2X communication.
• Experience in cloud connectivity (AWS/Azure/Google IoT Core) and telematics data pipeline integration.
• Understanding of OTA software update mechanisms, cybersecurity (ISO 21434), and secure boot protocols.
• Experience in diagnostic and communication protocols – CAN, UDS, MQTT, HTTP, TCP/IP, and ISO 15118.
• Exposure to functional safety (ISO 26262) and ASPICE process compliance.
• Good understanding of hardware design – microcontrollers, modems, GNSS, power supply circuits, and sensors.
• Strong debugging, testing, and validation experience using tools like Vector CANoe, Wireshark, and logic analyzers.

Duties:

• Lead the design, development, and validation of telematics products and connectivity solutions.
• Define architecture, performance targets, and specifications for TCU and telematics systems.
• Oversee software-hardware integration and system validation processes.
• Drive design reviews, simulations, and product qualification activities.
• Ensure compliance with functional safety, cybersecurity, and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with suppliers and partners for component selection, testing, and certification.
• Plan project schedules, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Report project progress, risks, and technical status to management and stakeholders.
• Foster innovation and continuous improvement in telematics product architecture and features.
• Collaborate with cloud, software, and mechanical teams for seamless vehicle-to-cloud integration.
