Join the Ericsson’s R&D team in Bengaluru, where innovation meets impact. We are building a world-class cloud-native telecom application as part of our Cloud Communication portfolio, serving telecom operators across the globe. This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of technology with a passionate team, delivering value through high-performance systems and next-generation telecom solutions.
You will work in an Agile environment with a global, multicultural team, contributing across the full development lifecycle—from conceptualization to deployment. You’ll not only develop and maintain microservices but also bring in innovation, propose new ideas, and even contribute to patent filings.
What you will do
Perform continuous analysis, requirement handling, and feature development aligned with product roadmap
Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software using cloud-native architecture
Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and Leads to deliver customer-centric solutions
Work on automated test case development and execution
Ensure performance, maintainability, testability, and scalability of microservices
Troubleshoot product issues and support customer escalations
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
Continuously learn and innovate—bringing in ideas for efficiency, improvement, or new features
Opportunity to propose and file patents based on new innovations
Must-Have
Programming languages: JavaScript, Java, Scala
Strong understanding of OOP, Design Patterns, and Software Architecture
Cloud-native development: Docker, Kubernetes, Service Mesh, Microservices
DevOps tools: Jenkins, GitHub/Gerrit
Databases: PostgreSQL, NoSQL
Networking protocols: HTTP, TCP/IP
Strong debugging, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
Excellent collaboration and communication in a global, cross-functional team
Agile development methodology
Nice-to-Have
Prior experience in telecom network APIs, GSMA, or 3GPP standards
Familiarity with AI/ML tools for performance optimization or analytics
Background in carrier-grade, virtualized, or cloud-based telecom products
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field (master’s is a plus)
6–8 years of overall software development experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in cloud-native or telecom application development
