Job Description

A Technical Office Engineer provides technical and project support by managing documentation, coordinating with stakeholders, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with project specifications. Key responsibilities include studying project documents, preparing submittals and method statements, performing quantity take-offs, managing RFI and variation orders, assisting with procurement, and supporting site engineers in their tasks. They act as a crucial link between the design office and the construction site, ensuring project progress aligns with technical and contractual requirements. Key Responsibilities

  • Document Management: Prepare, review, and maintain technical documents like drawings, specifications, Bills of Quantity (BOQs), and submittals.
  • Technical Support: Address Requests for Information (RFIs) from site teams, resolve technical conflicts, and provide technical expertise on construction methodologies.
  • Coordination & Communication: Act as a liaison between project managers, designers, contractors, and site personnel to ensure smooth information flow.
  • Quantity Surveying: Perform quantity take-offs, prepare and follow up on variation orders, and assist in generating invoices for clients and subcontractors.
  • Procurement Support: Assist in developing procurement and financial plans, and track deliveries to ensure site needs are met.
  • Quality & Safety: Work with site engineers to ensure all construction activities adhere to required quality and safety standards.
  • Reporting: Prepare and distribute reports on project progress, including quantity reports, to relevant departments.
  • Contract & Claims: Help prepare Notice to Claim in cooperation with the contracts team.

Essential Skills

  • Technical Proficiency: In-depth understanding of construction methods, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze project documents and resolve technical issues.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication with various project stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: Crucial for accuracy in documentation, quantity surveys, and cost estimations.
  • Project Management: Familiarity with project scheduling, planning, and coordination.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, and potentially specialized software for scheduling and quantity take-off.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,011.26 - ₹40,959.44 per month
