Rebar detailer are to create reinforcement shop drawings using CADS RC or another computer-aided design program to describe the specifications for rebar or other steel construction materials in a project. As a rebar detailer, you develop shop drawings, which indicate what types of rebar or structural reinforcements are necessary for a project, whether it is a building construction project or sets of prefabricated components. The drawings include detailed rebar shapes and explanations of how the builders plan to use rebar. Responsibilities: Produce rebar drawings that conform to industry and company standards for various structures Produce accurate and detailed lists of materials for shop fabrication Assist with the research of detailing, fabrication and field problems.
