About Business Line/Function Data Administration (DA) is a set of Market Data Referential Data Services and is the strategic tool catering to the asset static data and pricing data needs of internal and external clients of BNP Paribas Securities Services Business line. The DA applications deliver high-level of automation in financial asset static and pricing data management to its clients, including custody, middle office, fund accounting & data management domains. The IT Solutions ensures high quality delivery of referential data solutions in accordance with business needs, evolving market data vendor products and services, market practices and regulatory commitments while meeting the CIB2S benchmark operational standards and controls are implemented, sustained and improved. Job Title Technical Architect (Java Full Stack) Date 01-Jan-2025 Department CIB2S Location: Chennai Business Line / Function IT Functions – Data Administration Reports To (Direct) Grade (if applicable) NA (Functional) ISPL Head of ITF - Data Administration IT Number Of Direct Reports NA Directorship / Registration NA Position Purpose As a Technical Architect (Java full stack - Angular), you should be able to analyse, design, and develop microservices to build web applications with well-defined interfaces in distributed architecture / Cloud-based solutions Should have strong experience in converting complex monolithic applications into microservices-based solution Contribute and drive high quality solutioning to large scale complex development projects, including choice of frameworks, development of reusable codes and libraries, Code quality review and driving coding best practices Responsibilities Direct Responsibilities Design and develop micro services-based software systems with Java, Spring/SpringBoot and Angular. Understand business requirements and create plans accordingly Work in an agile environment Perform threat and risk assessments. Collaborate closely with the business analysts and technical leads to understand the existing implementation thoroughly. Maintain excellence in delivering new business features, improving the end-user experience and improve the stability and robustness of the application. Create unit tests and automated system tests to meet the quality assurance needs. Contributing Responsibilities Closely work with and support Technical Leads and developers in ensuring quality deliverables as per business commitments and timelines. Technical & Behavioral Competencies Bachelor’s/master’s degree in computer science (or equivalent experience) At least 12+ years of experience building large-scale software applications. Possess deep understanding of Distributed application design patterns, its pros/cons and Cloud concepts and various products available in the market to ensure right choice of solutions Strong hands-on experience in Java including frameworks such as Spring and SpringBoot. Strong knowledge of service-oriented architecture, APIs and web services (REST).
