Description
This role is ideal for a technologist with a solid background in DevOps, code quality, and system architecture, who also has the communication and leadership skills. The candidate will play a critical role in managing and overseeing technical platforms like SonarQube , GitLab , and CI/CD pipelines , while also assisting with server infrastructure, security practices, code reviews , and the execution of new initiatives across engineering teams. Key Responsibilities: 1. Technical Oversight & Platform Management Administer and maintain SonarQube for static code analysis and quality enforcement across all projects. Manage and optimize GitLab workflows, branching strategies, merge request reviews, and CI/CD automation. Work closely with DevOps or infrastructure teams to manage server architecture , hosting, scaling, and cloud configurations. Ensure best practices in code reviews , version control, and build/deployment cycles. 2. Security & Compliance Regularly audit codebases and infrastructure for security vulnerabilities. Implement security guidelines, monitor compliance, and assist with resolution of issues flagged by tools or processes. Coordinate penetration testing or audits as directed by the CTO. 3. Strategic Initiative Execution Act as the technical conduit for rolling out new initiatives introduced by the CTO (e.g., adoption of new tools, frameworks, methodologies). Monitor implementation progress, remove blockers, and provide status updates to the CTO. Coordinate and lead technical workshops, knowledge-sharing sessions, or training when required. 4. Development Floor Enablement Serve as a point of contact for engineering teams to clarify and action directives coming from the CTO’s office. Gather feedback from developers and summarize actionable insights for leadership. Help design and enforce engineering policies, guidelines, and templates. 5. Reporting & Documentation Create technical documentation, guidelines, and reports on platform performance, code quality metrics, and security posture. Maintain dashboards and logs for visibility into initiatives, quality trends, and team performance. Requirements Required Skills & Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in software development, DevOps, or system architecture roles. Proven experience with SonarQube, GitLab/Git, Linux server management, and CI/CD pipelines. Hands-on knowledge of at least one backend programming language (e.g., Java, Node.js, C#). Understanding of OWASP guidelines, static/dynamic analysis, and secure coding practices. Strong ability to conduct code reviews and suggest technical improvements.
