Job Description

Team Leader Logistics HR

Key Responsibilities:

The Team Leader will drive the HR agenda across cluster-level Logistics & Supply Chain locations by focusing on:

HR Operations & Compliance:

  • Drive adherence to

    statutory and regulatory compliance

    , including the Shops & Establishment Act, labor laws, and license renewals relevant to logistics operations.
  • Partner with the Logistics function to implement HR systems, practices, and policies across warehouses and transportation nodes.
  • Lead employee lifecycle processes (

    recruitment, onboarding, induction, exit

    ) for logistics manpower.
  • Liaise with external vendors for staffing and welfare provisions and ensure timely invoice processing.
  • Drive

    Kronos attendance regularization

    , leave management, and payroll coordination.
  • Support periodic audits (safety, quality, process) and ensure relevant corrective actions are implemented.

Workforce Management & Productivity:

  • Monitor deployment of the

    contract workforce

    and drive initiatives for

    productivity improvement

    .
  • Support logistics

    workforce planning and productivity benchmarking

    in partnership with Supply Chain and Sales HR teams.
  • Track and monitor key cost lines, including logistics manpower cost compliance with BP budgets.

Employee Engagement & Relations:

  • Conduct regular site visits to logistics hubs to monitor employee experience, engagement, and discipline.
  • Plan and execute

    welfare initiatives

    (hygiene, transport, rest area infrastructure, canteen services) for the logistics workforce.
  • Plan and execute employee engagement activities in alignment with the cluster calendar.
  • Support investigations and grievance handling pertaining to logistics and sales-facing teams.
  • Liaise with government bodies, local municipalities, and contractors to enable smooth operations and resolve HR-related escalations.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualifications:

    Masters degree in human resources, with a preference for specialization in

    Labor Welfare

    .
  • Experience:

    5+ years of experience in HR roles within

    logistics, supply chain, or field-based operations

    .
  • Functional Skills:

    • Strong command of

      labor laws and statutory requirements

      in logistics environments.
    • Expertise in

      manpower planning, third-party workforce engagement, and compliance handling

      .
    • Understanding of logistics and distribution models (FMCG/Beverage industry experience preferred).
