Job Description

Lead and manage a team of Fund Accountants and Senior Fund Accountants.
Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance and efficiency.
Collaborate with various internal business units to enhance processes and procedures.
Provide guidance and leadership to staff, fostering an environment that encourages employee engagement and teamwork.
Monitor work distribution and ensure effective resource use within the team.
Adapt the team structure to meet evolving business and client needs.
Act as the subject matter expert and direct activities to prepare standard, complex, and ad hoc NAV calculations, including trade, position, and cash reconciliations and tax reporting for sophisticated institutional clients, investment professionals, and marketing materials.
Proactively ensure a strong understanding of end-to-end processes, controls, data flows, roles, and responsibilities involved in performing Fund Accounting responsibilities.
Evaluate opportunities to improve processes and procedures to ensure optimal productivity and quality of output to deliver client satisfaction.
Influence and partner with operations and technology teams and service providers/vendors to resolve issues related to performance and reporting.
Ensure timely and appropriate response to all client queries/issues.
Calculate and/or review NAVs and all end-to-end related processes, ensuring SLAs are met with minimal exceptions or escalations.
Participate in migration to a new accounting system and assist in cross-training the team on the new system and processes.
Ensure management fees and performance fees are calculated according to the fund document.
Foster a risk management and compliance culture within the team.
Demonstrate proven experience developing, motivating, and managing end-to-end NAV calculations.
Possess excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve problems.
Manage detail while maintaining a strategic view in an ambiguous and changing environment.
Effectively communicate complex concepts and problems across the business and to clients.
Have a strong understanding of financial markets, investment management processes, and operational support functions.
Be proficient in data and reporting automation with strong Microsoft Excel and VBA skills.
Demonstrate skills in managing end-to-end processes and controls.
Exhibit a proven track record in critically assessing processes, controls, and issues, implementing both tactical and strategic solutions.
Be adept at leading and managing change within reporting teams, enhancing the overall reporting process.
Work effectively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, managing the team to meet tight deadlines.
Maintain a good academic record, along with very strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Display a positive, proactive, and flexible attitude.
