Roles And Responsibilities

• To understand project requirements and specifications.
• Mechanical Design & Detail engineering of Boilersincluding pressure parts, structure, piping, non-pressure parts, ducting,material handling equipment, etc according to client specifications andnational and international design codes.
• Design and preparation of General Arrangement andfoundation drawings, and detailed drawings including structure, piping andnon-pressure parts.
• To give inputs and specifications to vendors formaterial requirement & bought out items, and to review and approve vendordrawings and documents.
• To analyze technical problems and provide solutionspertaining to design, manufacturing, construction, commissioning, etc in coordinationwith manufacturing shop & outside fabrication vendors.
• Interaction with customer/ consultant and approvalauthorities for drawing approvals, and technical meetings
• Technical Support to Sales/ marketing & processteam for proposals
• Should be able to manage, plan, design and executionof multiple projects with pool of people.
• Should interact with cross functional teams tocoordinate for smooth completion of project.
• Should be able to develop / understand new productdesign.
  

Critical Competencies For The Job

• Must be awareof fundamentals of mechanical engineering and analysis.
• Should beexpert in Geometry and various mathematical calculations such as Area, MI ,Section Modulus, Simply supported Beam, Velocity etc.
• Knowledge of concept and basics related to detailedengineering in boilers and heaters.
• Knowledge of types of fuel and fuel feeding system,fuel / ash handling equipment and storage systems
• Knowledge of design codes like IBR, ASME, EN, BS, APIetc. and their application for mechanical design calculations. Familiarity withPV Elite will be an added advantage.
