Effective management of all Financial and Accounting functions Establish and ensure appropriate processes and procedures of accounting and audit to confirm that proper books of accounts, records and reports are maintained, to ensure that all statutory and audit requirements are duly complied with. Periodical review of accounting process and procedures to ensure internal controls are well established. Ensure that the timely completion of statutory audit and tax audit obligations as per schedule. Take total responsibility to answer all audit queries on behalf of management Handle Tax Assessments, Tax Planning, and adhere to timely tax compliance for both Direct and Indirect Taxes. Advise on Treasury function Preparation of forecast plans, cash flows, etc. to raise loans and other borrowings, manage the Term Loans, ensure sufficient funds are available for operations and capital expenditure needs, liaise with Bankers and Financial Institutions and with Rating Agencies and establish control over all the Treasury activities. Negotiate and interact with Banking partners for lines of credit or other financial services as required and appropriate. Provide required Business Information to the Management and Leadership team Provide monthly, periodical, annual financial & MIS reports for submission to management and leadership team, as per the process and procedures Budgeting and Control Design and implement budgetary control processes for monitoring of cost, profitability and planning of cash flows and instituting a disciplined approach Ensure adherence to the plan and take corrective measures as and when required based on the data Review and monitor performance of the organisation (on monthly/ quarterly basis), proactively identify performance gaps, and initiate corrective steps as required Liaise with professionals and external bodies Liaise with attorneys for negotiating contracts, leases and other legal documents and insurance coverage Work with designated consultants, auditors as necessary (Eg. tax planning consultants, statutory auditors) Team management Plan, allocate work to team members and communicate tasks. Provide information, inputs, guidance to team members for effective performance Supervise team on a continuous basis to track progress on work and deliverables Check and analyze reports submitted by teams; prepare summaries and recommendations, feedback, as appropriate Key Skills Ability to lead a team of professionals, exposure and awareness to ERP / SAP environment, expertise in accounting, audit, taxation, business planning, and banking transactions of large organisations, exposure to Audit, Tax Assessments, Due Diligence, establishing and maintaining effective internal control systems for reporting and compliance with Regulatory Authorities. Prior work experience in a charitable entity/trust and familiarity with laws relating to exemptions for charitable trusts will be looked upon favourably.
