Good to have: Oracle DBA , Linux/AIX, Network troubleshooting , CCNA Certification Education Qualification-BE/BTech Communication- Excellent Work mode- Work from office Shift-24*7 Transport - yes Job Description POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking a skilled Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer to manage and maintain monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Juniper Mist, Meraki, respond to alerts, and ensure high availability and performance of network and infrastructure systems. The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills, experience with enterprise monitoring platforms, and the ability to work in a fast-paced 24/7 operations environment ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: •Monitor production and non-production systems located at Owens & Minor offices, data centers, distribution centers, and warehouses. •Monitor network, servers, applications, and systems using SolarWinds and other monitoring tools. •Respond to alerts and event-generated incident tickets effectively and efficiently. Create and use Knowledge Base Articles to investigate, diagnose, and resolve incidents. •Perform first-level troubleshooting and escalate issues based on SOPs. •Maintain, configure, and optimize monitoring tools and dashboards. •Create and manage alert thresholds, templates, and notification rules in SolarWinds. •Escalate complex incidents to Networking, Server, and other resources in accordance with established processes and procedures. •Review and update status of incidents in ticketing system. •Create trouble tickets with carriers for circuit issues. •Interface with internal IT groups and business units as needed to achieve incident or problem resolution. •Support the Major Incident Management process by participating in bridge calls and working sessions to resolve incidents and problems. •Participate in the transfer of information from one shift to the next. •Participate in the development of automation scripts and standard operating procedures •Serve as mentor for junior NOC analysts to expand their technical skillset. •Must be available to be a part of a 24/7/365 rotational on-call schedule. •Experience in document creation based on scenario. •Coordination with different vender for escalation in timely manner. •Provide Proactive and reactive support for infrastructure. •Having knowledge of basic database monitoring e.g., MSSQL, DB2, Oracle etc. •Having knowledge of basic Linux, window, VMware monitoring. •Handle the L1 Noc team, working on documentation and KB creation. •Handling internal escalation to get update with the internal teams. SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1.Performs additional duties as directed. 2.Effectively accomplishes set goals while primarily working in a remote capacity. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: •2-4 years of experience in a similar role working in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or Operations Center in a distributed enterprise environment. •CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification preferred. •University degree in computer science or technical field preferred. •Experience supporting manufacturing/supply chain a plus. •Hands-on experience with SolarWinds NPM, SAM, NTA, or similar tools. •Familiarity with Windows/Linux server environments, networking concepts, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure is a plus) •Ability to work in rotational shifts including nights and weekends. •CCNA certification. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES: •Solid knowledge of infrastructure environments (compute, network, storage, etc.) and how they work. •Experience troubleshooting network problems and devices. •Familiarity with Red Hat Enterprise Linux preferred. •Strong diagnostic skills: ability to assess incident criticality and determine when escalation is needed. •Ability to assess and prioritize incidents quickly while under pressure. •Familiarity with trouble ticketing systems such as Service Now. •Good written and spoken communication skills. •Familiarity with ITSM and ITIL best practices. •Experience with SNMP, WMI, APIs, and scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) If interested please share your updated CV on heena.shaikh@owens-minor.com with below details: Total Experience: Relevant Experience: Current CTC: Expected CTC: Notice Period: if holding any offer and offer amount: Current location: Best Regards, Heena Shaikh Show more Show less
