People Function

People Function leads the implementation of the Group’s people strategy in line with business objectives. It facilitates talent management, succession planning and employee mobility while defining and overseeing frameworks that support employee performance management, reward, learning and development, resourcing and engagement.We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of SVP, People Consultant. The People Consultant role helps to build solutions to people related challenges or aspiration statements in an innovative, and agile manner delivering at pace to meet our employee and customer needs.

Principal Responsibilities

  • As a People Consultant you will need to successfully navigate the organisational matrix working to diagnose, analyse, consult, manage change and deliver solutions to drive organisational effectiveness, thereby joining the dots between the Business and People plans.
  • You'll be accountable for the successful delivery of projects in support of the business strategy set out in strategic people plans.
  • You'll work closely with People Business Partner and business leaders to help design pragmatic solutions to solve business problems.
  • You will be a strong partner and advisor to business - providing insights, guidance, and recommendations to align people initiatives with business objectives
  • You will help frame complex challenges by leveraging internal and external expertise to deliver solutions that have measurable impact for our business clients.
The principal responsibilities are as follows:
  • Diagnose business problems and define desired business outcomes by using variety of available tools. Conduct and use data- driven research.
  • Find pragmatic solutions to solve business problems by framing complex challenges and thinking creatively leveraging internal and external expertise
  • Create and drive effective project plans to support delivery of business outcomes outlined in strategic people plans
  • Execute deployment of People solutions that have measurable impact through keeping focus on quantifiable difference to the organization and project success
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and role-model behaviours for the function and business. Advocate and champion the People delivery model.
  • Collaborate across People COEs to access needs and gaps, and design tailored solutions that support overall people strategy
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices to offer innovative solutions and bringing outside in perspective

Requirements

  • Relevant degree in Human Resources from a reputed business school with experience range of 8-10 years.
  • Worked in an HR environment in a business partnering / consultant capacity with areas of expertise in at least 1 specialization would be preferred
  • Experience in HR transformation / change programmes / Org. design and / or HR project management roles would be highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of employee demographics and associated risks/challenges to be able to design pragmatic, relevant solutions
  • Prior experience working on people insights – using digital platforms / tools is desirable
  • Experience in managing senior stakeholders thereby serving as internal consultant.
  • Flexibility, tenacity and resilience to deal with business demands during periods of high workload
  • Knowledge and understanding of wholesale environments; service pressures, customer changing needs
  • Matrix working – demonstrating the ability to navigate across teams to get results
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
  • Postgraduate in Commerce with at least 6-8 years’ experience in audit, risk, internal controls or compliance in Banking or Financial Services organization.
  • Candidates with professional qualifications like CA / ICWA / CFA / PGDBA, etc. and experience in Data Analytics are preferred.
  • Good knowledge of the financial services sector, Banking regulations and some expertise in Credit & Lending, Treasury & Markets, or Finance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
