Sustainability Specialist in Purchasing

Location Gurugram - Haryana, India

YOUR TASKS
In the business division Special Original Equipment, you are responsible for defining and execution of the CO2-related sustainability roadmap. EcoVadis (Human Rights Check-ups) Monthly Check-ups (twice a month’s): Review supplier assessments for human rights compliance. Update risk mapping based on new data. Conduct follow-up actions on flagged suppliers. Prepare and submit quarterly compliance reports. Octoplus / Ecosphera (CO2 Tool) + Palantir (CO2 Reporting) Monthly Check-ups: Verify CO2 data entries for accuracy. Update CO2 calculation models with the latest data. Cross-check CO2 calculations with Palantir reports. Generate and review CO2 emission reports. Ensure data integrity from suppliers – push the teams for implementation of all the needed tools at suppliers Present findings and improvement plans to stakeholders. EUDR Regulation (Deforestation Regulation) Gather internally all the data needed especially in IAM where we are missing IMDS and support the Sustainability lead. CSPR (Conflict Minerals Check-ups and Reporting) + PFAS (IMDS Data Gathering for Reporting) Monthly Check-ups: Review conflict minerals data submissions from suppliers. Support compliance team with PFAS data gathering Ensure all data entries are compliant with reporting standards. Compile and review conflict minerals reports and submit to sustainability lead Presentations and Status Check-ups Monthly Check-ups: Prepare status update presentations for ongoing projects. Review progress against project milestones. Identify and address any issues or delays in the Key user team => support with trainings the PUR organization Quarterly Implementation Lead: Conduct comprehensive project health checks. Present status updates to senior management. Develop action plans for any identified risks or issues. Preparation for Greenhouse Gas Reporting Gathering CO2 emission data from our suppliers (Ecospehra / manual) Support two reporting slots with CO2 data from our suppliers ½ year CO2 internal reporting full year CO2 external reporting (EU) Support purchase organization for developing a sustainable supplier base Choose and generate training documentation Define criteria for selection of sustainable suppliers Define KPI figures to describe minimum requirements and performance of the suppliers YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
You have a degree in engineering / legal or related areas. You have proven expertise in the area of purchase / procurement / sustainability, e.g. of regulatory frameworks and certifications related to sustainability in the automotive sector (e.g., ISO 14001, SBTi, EU directives). Strong technical understanding of Special OE customer requirements and aftermarket processes, with a focus on opportunities for CO2 reduction at our supplier base. Proven ability to build up business cases and reporting skills with good analytical skills. 10 to 12 years of relevant professional experience in a comparable role. Excellent Excel / Powerpoint knowhow. SAP / Palantir is nice to have Distinctive experience in international project business and good knowledge of development processes in the automotive industry. You are highly committed and have a proactive attitude. Furthermore, you are a motivated team player skilled in communication and organization with a methodical and analytic mindset and show an independent way of working.
