Support Safety & Expert

Purpose/Objective

The Project Safety is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive safety strategies, policies, and procedures across all projects. This role ensures compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards, promotes a culture of safety, oversees safety training programs, and continuously monitors and improves safety performance to prevent accidents, injuries, and incidents.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Safety Strategy and Direction: Develop and implement comprehensive safety strategies for all project sites. Ensure alignment with group standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices. Provide leadership coaching and support to foster a strong safety culture. Safety Systems and Processes: Establish and maintain robust safety systems and procedures across all project sites. Regularly review and update safety policies to ensure compliance with legal and corporate standards. Implement internal controls to prevent safety breaches and ensure transparent operations. Budget and Resource Management: Develop and manage the safety department's budget effectively. Allocate resources to meet safety objectives and ensure efficient use of funds. Training and Development: Design and execute comprehensive safety training programs for all project teams. Foster continuous improvement through regular training sessions and drills. Incident Management and Reporting: Lead the investigation of critical incidents and accidents to determine causes. Capture learnings from incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Stakeholder Management: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to promote and enhance safety initiatives. Ensure transparent communication and reporting of safety performance and metrics. Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation in safety practices and processes to enhance overall safety performance. Implement best practices and proactive measures to prevent safety incidents. Qualifications and Experience

Educational Qualifications: B.E or B.Tech degree with ADIS or PDIS certificate from CLI or RLI. Work Experience: 15-20 years in safety management roles, proven experience in managing safety protocols and compliance in the manufacturing industry. Industry Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of safety regulations, risk management, and safety training programs. Proficient in developing and implementing safety policies and procedures.
