Experience: 3 to 5 Years. Roles & Responsibilities: 1. To follow the safety activities planned for the year as per the schedule. 2. To conduct Mock drills, Safety surveys, Safety committee meetings etc. 3. Assist in carrying out hazard identification & risk assessment (JSA, Pre-job task) and appropriate controls following hierarchy of controls. Developing SOPs, Work instructions etc. 4. Investigation of all accidents/incidents, suggest for corrective /preventive actions to avoid recurrences 5. Ensure required safety measures in place for activities related to height works, hot works, electrical works, confined space work etc. under the work permit compliances 6. Engage in Safety promotional activities like Safety week celebration, World environment day celebration, Fire safety week etc. 7. Monitor and Upkeep fire control systems including fire hydrants, fire extinguishers and detection systems including smoke, heat and other fixed gas detection system 8. Carry out health and safety audits, environmental audits, inspections and survey across the factory to identify unsafe acts, conditions & near misses. 9. Suggest for required personal protection equipment as per the department requirement. Knowledge of chemical safety including MSDS, various chemicals (Inflammable, corrosive) handling & its storage. 10. Coordination with concern department for Lifting equipments & Pressure Vessels testing (Form 11 & Form 13 as per factory act) 11. Monitoring & disposal of hazardous waste materials, chemicals, hazardous substances and other non-hazardous wastes. 12. Carrying out safety training to all employees to create safety awareness among them. 13. Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory requirements including compilation of data and submission of environment statement, hazardous waste returns, Form B etc. 14. Work on certifications of ISO14001 & ISO45001.
