Develop and implement logistics strategies to
optimise transportation, distribution, and warehousing processes.
Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and
third-party logistics providers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials andcomponents to manufacturing plants.
Manage inventory levels and ensure adequate
stock levels of raw materials and finished goods to meet production andcustomer demand.
Oversee the scheduling and routing of
shipments to minimise transportation costs and optimise delivery times.
Monitor and track logistics performance
metrics, such as on-time delivery, transportation costs, and inventoryaccuracy.
Implement and enforce safety and compliance
standards for logistics operations, including adherence to regulatoryrequirements.
Lead and develop a team of logistics
professionals, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback asneeded.
Continuously assess and improve logistics
processes and systems to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams,
including procurement, production, and sales, to ensure alignment of logisticsactivities with business objectives.
