Job Description

Freight Management

Oversee and coordinate all domestic and export freight operation from origin to destination.
Select, Negotiate and manage freight carriers and freight forwarders.
Manage freight documentation.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of export compliance and custom clearance.

Export Compliance

Ensure all international shipments comply, trade regulations and documentation standards
Work closely with customs brokers and regulatory agencies to resolve clearance issues.

Cost and Performance Optimization

Analyze freight costs, identify savings opportunities and implement cost-reduction strategies.
Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPI) for freight operations.

Coordination and communication

Collaborate with internal departments (sales, production and Finance) to plan shipments and meet delivery requirements.
Communicate shipping schedules, freight costs and export requirements to stakeholders.

System and Reporting

Maintain freight management systems and ensure accurate data entry.
Prepare regular freight performance and cost analysis reports.
Stay current with logistics technology and trends to improve efficiency.

Desired Candidate Profile

Certification in international Trade or Logistics
Knowledge of dangerous goods handling
Experience managing freight in regions such as America, Europe, Asia Pacific.
Experience managing freight contracts and negotiating rates with carriers

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

On time Shipment and delivery performance
Freight cost per unit / tone shipped
Export compliance accuracy rate
Carrier performance ratings
Freight claim ratio.
