Supplier Quality Manager

As a Supplier Quality Manager supporting India and EMEA Suppliers, your role involves leading the global Supplier Quality team and reporting to the Director of Quality. Your primary responsibilities include coordinating with Sourcing and supply chain team members to ensure supplier qualification and supply readiness as per the FTC sourcing strategy. You are accountable for maintaining Quality at Source and fostering a Zero Defect mentality within the Supply Base. Your duties encompass Supplier Qualification through the FTC Solar Supplier Quality Program, including audits and PPAP. You will work closely with suppliers to ensure compliance with FTC Solar's PPAP requirements such as PFC, FMEA, CP, FAI, and review and approve them before mass production. Your role also entails ensuring control of process and product parameters of all FTC Solar key components at the supplier level to meet End Product Requirements. You will support new Product Launches and ensure adherence to required Standards and Product Requirements. Inspection and monitoring of product quality at all stages of Supplier Qualification and Mass Production will be part of your responsibilities. You will be responsible for driving and closing Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions for Supplier Quality issues, as well as conducting on-site Supplier visits for RCA and verification of CAPA. Furthermore, you will be accountable for driving actions related to Supplier Development and Part Development, reviewing supplier processes, and working on improvements using methodologies like Kaizen, Poke-Yoke, Lean, and Six Sigma. Monitoring supplier performance, identifying improvement opportunities within the Supply Base, and collaborating with relevant team members to report supplier quality and performance will also be crucial aspects of your role. Qualifications required for this position include a BE / B. Tech (Mechanical) or equivalent engineering degree, along with a minimum of 8 years of experience in Supplier Quality function. The role involves 50% travel and on a need basis. Your knowledge, skills, and abilities should encompass familiarity with Quality Management Systems like ISO 9001, Supplier Qualification, Audit, Development, and Part Development processes, as well as activities related to PPAP. You should be well-versed in Control Plans, Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Action methodologies, Measurement Techniques, Inspection Methods, and Equipment. The ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings, understand Manufacturing Processes, Surface Coating techniques, and Products like Motors and Dampers/Shock Absorbers will be beneficial. Excellent planning, prioritization, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with self-driven decision-making qualities to thrive in a diverse and dynamic working environment.,
