Supplier Quality Engineer

Hiring for Supplier Quality Engineer (Baroda Location)

Qualifications & Experience

• BE or Diploma (or higher), in Mechanical engineering

• Minimum 10 years of experience in supplier quality with hands on Inspection witness experience, category knowledge, manufacturing processes know how etc.

• Experience in SQD function dealing with suppliers / supplier management required

• Knowledge on categories like Porcelain insulators, Fabrication, Aluminium castings, Machining, chemicals would be added advantage

• Knowledge of Quality management Systems, line audits, in-process audits required

• Experienced in MS tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project)

Knowledge & Competencies

• Knowledge of Quality management Systems, Quality tools like APQP, PPAP required

• Thorough knowledge of APQP & PPAP desired

• Should have on experience in Supplier management in terms of Quality and Delivery, follow-up with sub-suppliers etc.

• Should be aware of Change Management Process, implementation of design changes.

• Flexible and willing to work in Matrix organisation structure Soft Skills

• Capable to work in team and independently too

• Good oral and written communication skills, including the ability to write technical reports • Prompt in planning, review & reporting

POSITION FUNCTIONS

• Working in a manufacturing plant at supplier site, line responsible for quality and delivery of parts.

• Ensuring availability and adequacy of PPAP documents for submission to end customer (Bubble drawings, Control plan, FMEA, CPK for CTQ’s, Dimensional inspection reports, Routine test & other test reports is key)

• Monitor production plan, monitor sub supplier adherence, raw material availability etc.

• Manage the supplier adherence to planning, raise flags for concern areas and ensure the project deadlines are met

• Exposure / knowledge of SAP will be added advantage

• Carry out product audits, process audits, in-process inspection in line

• Reporting the activities to SQ Manager
