Supplier Quality Engineer

Position Summary

Inspection of new development child parts and provide quality clearance in-line with the drawing specification. Review with the suppliers against the non-conformities and initiate necessary corrective measures through systematic approach. Implement Zero defect Journey initiates as per the corporate guidelines through proper training and ensure the defect free supplies from the suppliers and meeting the customer quality requirements

Responsibilities

• Inspection of NPD Parts for all new development projects, Intercompany sales & Other Localization Projects and necessary communication to the stakeholders and initiate improvement actions

• Achieve Zero-Defect features as per the plan through supplier training & implementation

• Achieve ZD savings against the target related to supplier quality

• Inspection of resourcing parts through Deflation

• Raising SNCR & ISNCR and further closure through effective review of corrective action / effectiveness

• New project review and PPAP preparedness related to Supplier quality

• New Supplier Assessment and effective closure of open points & approval

• IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 documentation and meeting the audit requirements

• Communicate Quality rating score to suppliers in an effective way and initiate actions to improve the performance

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years experience or Diploma with 8 years experience in supplier quality

• Incoming part clearance and supplier quality development
• Good working knowledge on IATF audit requirements

• Handling all critical instruments and quality clearance of parts.
• Excellent problem solving skill on the quality concern and actions towards supplier improvement
