Location: Chennai or Bengaluru

Position Level: Mid-Senior Level

Experience: 5 Years and above in Implementing and practicing Labour Laws

Role Overview:

We are looking for a knowledgeable and driven Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Labour Laws and

HR Compliance to join our growing team at Ezycomp. This role is central to delivering timely

legal advisory, developing thought leadership, and ensuring our tech platform reflects the

evolving regulatory landscape in India. The SME will work closely with legal, operations, and

product teams to drive compliance excellence and support enterprise clients across multiple

sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert advisory on compliance requirements under the existing labour laws and the

upcoming Labour Codes.

• Interpret legal changes and offer structured opinions and insights on their business impact.

• Support internal teams and clients with advisory notes, SOPs, checklists, and actionable

compliance frameworks.

• Draft articles, thought pieces, white papers, and client alerts on HR legal and compliance

topics.

• Review and validate the legal accuracy of compliance registers, tools, and templates

developed within the Ezycomp platform.

• Lead training sessions, webinars, and internal knowledge-sharing forums on new legal

developments and practical implications.

• Stay updated with central and state-wise labour law amendments, rules, circulars, and case

law relevant to clients.

• Assist in client delivery and onboarding discussions where legal interpretation and advisory

are key elements.

• Contribute to product enhancement by validating workflows and suggesting updates from a

legal perspective.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• 5 years or above years of experience in Labour Laws, Employment Laws, or Legal

Compliance roles within consulting firms, legal departments, or HR compliance teams.

• LLB/ LLM candidates are given weightage; specialization in labour law or additional

certifications will be an added advantage.

• Candidate with LLB, MSW, MBA HR, MHRM, PGDM HR can also apply.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience in drafting legal notes,

policies, or thought leadership content.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, tech-enabled environment.

• High attention to detail, research orientation, and problem-solving mindset.

• Ability to translate legal language into practical guidance for HR/Operations/Compliance

professionals.
