Job Responsibilities

•     Strong understanding of structural analysis, behaviour of structures under various loadings.

•  Strong understanding of ability to design of reinforced concrete and steel structures including connection design as per limit state design by IS 456 for concrete design /IS875 for steel design.

•   Good understanding of geotechnical engineering considerations essential for structural design ensuring that correct data is available to undertake structural analysis and design.

•   Understanding of current relevant IS codes including, but not limited to, IS 456, IS 800, IS 13920, IS 3370, IS 875 for concrete and steel design.

•   Ability to work closely with Senior engineers to develop structural scheme for projects, undertake needed inter-disciplinary coordination to understand and share impact of decisions by structural engineers and ability to understand and undertake impact assessment of decisions by other lead engineers and disciplines.

•     Experience of using Staad Pro, Etabs and other popular analysis and design tools will be an advantage. Exposure to AutoCAD/Tekla software is desirable.

•    Be a team player, understand the project commitments and timelines for delivery of project.

•    Good awareness about quality and have a commitment to deliver high quality work in a timely manner.

•    Willingness to embrace adding new skills as needed for the job and where gaps are identified, ability to address the gaps by demonstrating strong willingness and undertake training through self-driven initiatives.

•   Be willing and seek support by sharing shortcomings with seniors and work in the best interest of the project and clients.

•    Be honest, humble and respect team members from within the department, outside the department and all project stakeholders.

Technical Skill Set Required:

·      Logical analysis of problems and ability to tackle a variety of structures.

·      Strong acumen for structural analysis and design.

·      Good familiarity with common tools like MS Office suite of tools, MS Teams etc.
