About the role:

You will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and acquiring new music catalogues, negotiating deals, and ensuring seamless integration and management of acquired assets.

What you’ll do:

• Identify, evaluate, and recommend new music catalogues for acquisition, including master recordings, publishing rights, and other intellectual properties.
• Negotiate purchase agreements with sellers, ensuring fair market value and optimal deal structures.
• Conduct thorough valuations of music catalogues, considering factors such as revenue streams, market trends, and industry standards.
• Perform comprehensive due diligence on target catalogues, reviewing contracts, financial records, and other relevant documents.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including artists, managers, publishers, and other industry professionals.
• Ensure seamless integration of acquired catalogues, including metadata management, royalty administration, and distribution setup.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting for catalogue acquisitions, ensuring accurate financial planning and resource allocation.
• Stay up to date on music industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes.
• Develop and maintain detailed records of catalogue acquisitions, including deal terms, financials, and asset management.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Financial analysis and valuation skills
• Music industry knowledge and experience
• Negotiation and contract management expertise
• Strong research and due diligence abilities
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to manage complex data and records
• Bachelor’s degree in music business, law, finance, or related field
• 7-10 years of experience in music industry, catalogue acquisition, or related field
