Strategic Sourcing Indirect Procurement

Indirect Categories

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement

  sourcing strategies

  for indirect spend categories to deliver cost savings, quality improvements, and supplier performance.
• Partner with internal stakeholders (Finance, HR, IT, Admin, Manufacturing, Operations) to understand business requirements and ensure category alignment.
  
• Conduct

  market analysis, supplier benchmarking, and spend analysis

  to identify opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction.
• Lead

  end-to-end procurement cycle

  from RFP/RFQ, supplier evaluation, negotiation, contracting, and onboarding.
• Drive

  supplier relationship management (SRM)

  and performance monitoring, ensuring compliance with service levels and contracts.
• Ensure

  compliance with procurement policies, risk management, and governance frameworks.

• Collaborate with global/regional teams (if applicable) to align sourcing strategies and leverage scale.
  
• Support digitalization and process improvements within indirect procurement.
  
• Manage annual budgets, cost tracking, and savings reporting for indirect categories.
  
• Negotiate and implement

  long-term agreements

  with strategic vendors to secure favorable terms.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of

  indirect procurement categories

  (IT, Marketing, HR, Facilities, MRO, Capex, Services, etc.)
• Expertise in

  strategic sourcing methodologies

  (e-sourcing, cost modeling, TCO analysis, supplier scorecards).
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and contract management skills.
  
• Ability to influence and collaborate with

  cross-functional stakeholders

  at multiple levels.
• Familiarity with

  ERP / Procurement tools

  (SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle, etc.).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  
• Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
