Storekeeper

Inventory Management:Maintain accurate records of all stock items, including their quantities, locations, and expiration dates (if applicable).
Conduct regular inventory counts to ensure stock levels are accurate and update inventory records accordingly.Monitor stock levels and reorder items as needed to prevent shortages or overstocking.

Receiving and Inspection:Receive incoming shipments of goods and verify that the items received match the purchase orders.
Inspect goods for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.Ensure that all received items are properly labeled and stored in the correct locations.

Storage and Organization:Organize and arrange stock in a manner that maximizes efficiency and accessibility.
Implement a first-in, first-out (FIFO) or other appropriate inventory management system to ensure the use of older stock before newer stock.Safely store and handle items to prevent damage or spoilage.

Record-Keeping:Maintain detailed records of all stock transactions, including receipts, issues, and returns.
Generate regular reports on inventory levels, stock turnover, and other relevant metrics for management review.

Stock Security and Safety:Ensure the security of the storage area to prevent theft or unauthorized access.
Follow safety guidelines and protocols when handling hazardous materials or items with special storage requirements.

Communication:Collaborate with procurement and purchasing departments to coordinate stock replenishment and procurement activities.
Communicate stock-related issues or discrepancies to relevant departments or supervisors.

Quality Control:Monitor the quality of incoming goods and report any issues with product quality.
Ensure that products are stored in conditions that preserve their quality and integrity.

Equipment Maintenance:Maintain and inspect storage equipment and tools, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and shelving units, to ensure they are in good working order.

Compliance and Regulations:Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, such as those related to the storage of hazardous materials or food safety (if applicable).

Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities to improve inventory management processes and suggest changes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Customer Service:Assist internal departments or external customers with stock-related inquiries or requests as needed.

Training and Supervision (if applicable):Train and supervise assistant storekeepers or other staff members involved in inventory management.
