Job Description

The Store Management Specialist is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store to ensure efficient functioning, optimal inventory levels, excellent customer service, and achievement of sales and operational targets. This role plays a key part in maintaining store standards, managing staff, and supporting business growth through effective planning and execution.

Key responsibilities:

  • Include managing inventory control processes such as stock receipt, storage, issuance, and periodic stock audits to minimize shrinkage and ensure accuracy. The Store Management Specialist monitors stock levels, coordinates with procurement and suppliers, and ensures timely replenishment of fast-moving and critical items. They are also responsible for maintaining proper documentation, system entries, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • The role involves supervising and guiding store staff, assigning daily tasks, ensuring adherence to safety and housekeeping standards, and providing on-the-job training when required. The Store Management Specialist ensures that the store layout is organized, materials are clearly labeled, and storage practices follow safety and quality norms.
  • Customer service and internal stakeholder coordination are essential aspects of this role. The Store Management Specialist supports sales and operations teams by ensuring material availability, resolving stock-related issues, and responding promptly to internal and external queries. They also assist in analyzing sales and inventory data to improve stock turnover, reduce excess inventory, and optimize storage costs.
  • In addition, the role requires preparing regular reports on inventory status, consumption trends, discrepancies, and operational performance for management review. The Store Management Specialist must ensure compliance with statutory requirements, company audits, and internal controls.
  • The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills, along with proficiency in inventory management systems or ERP software.
