Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly organized and experienced

Store Incharge

to manage the inventory and warehousing operations for our

Transformer Components Division

. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in materials handling, stock control, and ERP systems, preferably with experience in the transformer manufacturing or electrical components sector. This role demands strict inventory control, systematic storage, and timely issue of materials to support seamless production.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory & Stock Management:

  • Oversee the receipt, storage, and issue of raw materials, transformer components, consumables, tools, and spare parts.
  • Maintain accurate stock records, including batch/lot tracking and shelf-life sensitive items.
  • Conduct regular stock verification and cycle counts to reconcile physical vs. system inventory.
  • Implement FIFO/FEFO practices and monitor slow-moving/obsolete stock.

Warehouse Organization

  • Ensure proper binning and labeling of all materials in a clean and organized warehouse layout.
  • Maintain optimal storage conditions for components such as cores, windings, bushings, insulation materials, etc.
  • Ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with 5S practices and safety norms.

ERP & Documentation

  • Manage inventory using ERP or inventory management software (SAP, Oracle, Tally, or equivalent).
  • Prepare and maintain GRNs, MRNs, stock registers, delivery notes, and issue slips.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing proper documentation and stock data.

Material Planning & Coordination

  • Work closely with the purchase and production teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Monitor material consumption trends and raise alerts for reordering.
  • Coordinate with quality control for inspection and clearance of incoming materials.

Team Supervision

  • Lead and supervise store personnel including storekeepers, helpers, and material handlers.
  • Train store team members on SOPs, safety, and inventory best practices.

Key Requirements

  • Education: Graduate in any discipline (preferred: Diploma/Degree in Materials Management or Supply Chain Management)
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in a transformer manufacturing or electrical components industry.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Familiarity with transformer components (CRGO cores, windings, bushings, insulation, oil, tank fittings, etc.)
    • SAP Knowledge must
