Job Description of Store Executive
A Store Executive in manufacturing manages the storage, movement, and record-keeping of raw materials, components, and finished goods, ensuring accurate inventory, proper handling, and timely availability for production and dispatch. Key responsibilities include receiving and issuing materials, conducting physical stock verification, maintaining warehouse cleanliness, coordinating with other departments and suppliers, ensuring safety procedures are followed, and managing the store's budget and performance.
Key Responsibilities
· Inventory Management:
Receive, store, and issue materials, maintaining accurate physical and system records to ensure 100% inventory compliance.
· Material Handling:
Oversee the safe handling, storage, and preservation of all materials, from raw materials to finished products.
· Stock Control:
Implement and maintain minimum and maximum stock levels and manage the flow of materials based on FIFO (First-In, First-Out) or FEFO (First-Expired, First-Out) systems.
· Warehouse Operations:
Ensure proper organization and cleanliness of the storage area, including maintaining 5S and visual workplace standards.
· Coordination:
Liaise with suppliers for material procurement and with other departments (like production and accounts) for material requisition, dispatch, and payment processes.
· Reporting:
Conduct periodic physical stock verification and prepare reports on stock levels, non-moving items, and other relevant inventory data.
· Safety & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations (like ISO and OHSAS procedures) in all store operations.
· Continuous Improvement:
Participate in and recommend continuous improvement activities to optimize store operations, processes, and delivery.
Qualifications
· Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field is often preferred.
· Experience:
Proven experience in store or warehouse management within the manufacturing sector.
· Skills:
· Strong inventory management and stock control skills.
· Excellent organizational, multitasking, and attention to detail.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with various stakeholders.
· Basic computer skills for managing inventory systems.
· Leadership and team management skills to guide store staff.
