Store Assistant

As an Inventory Management & Stock Control Associate, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the efficient handling and monitoring of inventory within the warehouse or storage area. Your responsibilities will include receiving and inspecting incoming shipments, organizing and storing materials, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring inventory accuracy through meticulous record-keeping. In the realm of Material Handling & Dispatch, you will be tasked with accurately picking and packing materials for orders, preparing shipments with proper packaging and labeling, and coordinating with logistics departments to facilitate timely dispatch. Additionally, you will assist in loading and unloading materials, operate material handling equipment safely, and maintain detailed records of all incoming and outgoing materials. Your role will also encompass Store Operations & Maintenance, where you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment, disposing of waste properly, and performing routine maintenance on material handling equipment. Compliance with safety regulations, accurate documentation of store transactions, and providing support to internal departments are integral components of this position. Furthermore, you may be required to provide customer support by assisting with inquiries, processing orders, and ensuring a high level of service. Collaboration with team members, participation in training sessions, and contribution to process improvement initiatives will also be expected from you. To excel in this role, you should possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Basic computer proficiency, good communication skills, and physical stamina to handle heavy objects are essential. Knowledge of safety procedures, regulations, and forklift certification (if required) will be beneficial.
