Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Storage Engineer to join our global IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of hands-on experience in Disk Storage, SAN Administration, System Design, Migration, and Data Centre Support. The role requires expertise in enterprise storage technologies (such as EMC, HP-3PAR, VMAX, and Brocade/Cisco SAN switches) and alignment with ITIL-based operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform storage provisioning and management on VMAX, VMAX3, PMAX, and HP-3PAR storage arrays.
• Handle data migrations between arrays (e.g., VMAX → VMAX3/PMAX) and LUN management (creation, masking, expansion, reclamation).
• Build and maintain SAN core switches (Brocade and Cisco), including zoning, firmware upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Manage SRDF remote replication and disaster recovery configurations.
• Participate in project calls to gather storage and backup requirements, propose design alternatives, and implement approved solutions.
• Administer EMC Clarion Storage Systems (CX-700, CX3-80, CX4-480) and perform RAID Group, MetaLUN, and Thin Provisioning tasks.
• Troubleshoot VMAX, Brocade, and SAN performance issues across multiple operating systems (Windows, AIX, Linux, VMware).
• Execute routine and emergency change management activities per ITIL standards.
• Perform capacity management, code/firmware upgrades, and coordinate with vendors for support and performance analysis.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and storage documentation.
• Support backup environments, data replication, and disaster recovery (DR) testing.
• Participate in P1/P2 incident remediation and problem management reviews.
• Ensure security, compliance, and audit readiness across storage environments.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience: 8–12 years of hands-on experience in Storage Management (SAN/NAS).
• Technical Expertise:
• EMC VMAX / VMAX3 / PMAX / Clarion / Data Domain
• HP-3PAR
• Brocade & Cisco SAN Switches
• SRDF, RAID, LUN Masking, Thin Provisioning, VLUN Management
• ITIL-aligned operations experience (Incident, Change, and Problem Management).
• Flexibility: Must be available for off-hours work, including weekends and on-call rotations.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proven root cause analysis experience.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities across cross-functional and global teams.
• Experience designing and implementing Disaster Recovery (DR) and data replication solutions.
• Ability to lead and execute complex technical projects independently.
• Familiarity with vendor coordination and capacity planning.
• Decision-making under pressure and proactive issue management.
• Strong documentation and process improvement capabilities.

Good to Have

• Experience with cloud storage technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of automation tools for provisioning and monitoring.
• Exposure to NetApp or other enterprise storage platforms.
