We are seeking a skilled and experienced Storage Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize

our enterprise storage infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and hands-

Hitachi, Dell EMC, and NetApp storage systems

ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our storage environment to support

business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Storage Infrastructure Management

o Design, implement, and manage storage solutions using Hitachi, Dell EMC, and

NetApp systems.

o Monitor and optimize storage performance to meet SLAs and business

requirements.

o Manage storage provisioning, replication, snapshots, and backup solutions.

2. Troubleshooting and Support

o Perform root-cause analysis and resolve issues related to storage systems.

o Provide Level 2/3 support for escalated storage issues.

o Work closely with vendors for hardware replacements, upgrades, and support.

3. Automation and Scripting

o Develop and implement scripts to automate routine storage tasks and improve

efficiency.

o Leverage tools such as PowerShell, Ansible, or Python for storage automation.

4. Data Protection and Disaster Recovery

o Ensure effective data protection using replication and backup strategies.

o Participate in designing and executing disaster recovery plans and tests.

5. Capacity Planning and Reporting

o Monitor storage utilization and perform capacity planning to meet future demands.

o Generate and maintain reports on storage performance and usage.

6. Compliance and Security

o Ensure storage solutions adhere to company security and compliance policies.

o Implement encryption and data protection mechanisms.

7. Collaboration

o Work with cross-functional teams, including network, server, and application teams,

to ensure seamless integration and support of storage systems.

o Provide input for storage-related projects and participate in system upgrades.

Qualifications and Skills:

 Education: Any Graduate (Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology,

or a related field).

 Experience: 5+ years in enterprise storage administration, including Hitachi, Dell EMC, and

NetApp environments.

 Technical Skills:

o Expertise in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting storage arrays and SAN/NAS

solutions.

o Proficiency in using storage management tools and software (e.g., Hitachi Command

Suite, Dell EMC Unisphere, NetApp ONTAP).

o Strong understanding of RAID, LUNs, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, and NFS/CIFS protocols.

o Knowledge of backup and recovery tools (e.g., Veeam, CommVault).

o Familiarity with cloud storage solutions and integration (e.g., AWS, Azure).

 Automation Skills: Hands-on experience with scripting (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) and

automation tools (e.g., Ansible).

 Soft Skills:

o Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

o Strong communication and documentation skills.

o Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage priorities.

Preferred Certifications:

 Hitachi Certified Specialist or Professional

 Dell EMC Proven Professional (e.g., , PowerMax, Powerstore)

 NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) or NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer
