KEY RESPONSBILITIES:
- The Head of SRM is a strategic leadership role who is responsible for transforming the organization's (SRM) processes through the adoption, leveraging of digital technologies by aligning with business strategic goals. This position will define, implement, and optimize the digital SRM strategy, platforms, and capabilities to enhance collaboration, improve supplier performance, mitigate risks, and drive value across the entire oil and gas value chain (upstream, midstream, downstream). The role focuses on integrating SRM with broader digitalization initiatives, including ERP (SAP S/4HANA), data analytics, automation (RPA, BPM), and e-commerce platforms.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive digital SRM strategy and roadmap aligned with corporate procurement, supply chain, and overall digitalization objectives. Identify opportunities to leverage technology for improved supplier collaboration, performance, risk management, and innovation.
- Lead the implementation, integration, and continuous optimization of digital SRM platforms and tools. This includes modules within Ivalua solution (e.g. SRM, source to contract, procure to pay, spend analytics) or SAP S/4HANA solution (e.g., Ariba SRM, Supplier Lifecycle Management), specialized SRM software, e-procurement systems, and other relevant technologies.
- Oversee the digitalization of supplier data management, ensuring data quality, completeness, and accessibility. Drive the use of data analytics and AI/ML to derive insights into supplier performance, risk profiles, market trends, and identify opportunities for value creation.
- Identify and lead initiatives to automate key SRM processes using technologies like Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Business Process Management (BPM), and intelligent workflows. Focus on automating supplier onboarding, performance monitoring, contract management, and issue resolution.
- Drive the implementation of digital platforms like Ivalua solution that facilitate seamless communication and collaboration with strategic suppliers, including supplier portals, collaborative planning tools, and digital feedback mechanisms.
- Enhance digital capabilities for supplier risk assessment, monitoring (e.g., financial health, compliance, sustainability), and mitigation. Ensure digital SRM solutions support, manage change request, regulatory compliance and internal policies.
- Define and implement digital dashboards and reporting mechanisms to track key SRM metrics, supplier performance KPIs, and value generated through digital initiatives.
- Work closely with ICT, Procurement, Supply Chain, Legal, Finance, and Business Units like Upstream, Midstream, Downstream, mineral and metal, renewal energy sectors to ensure seamless integration of SRM solutions with ERP and other enterprise systems (e.g., P2P, O2C, HRMS, Project Controls).
- Drive change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new digital SRM tools and processes across the organization and with suppliers. Provide training and support as needed.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team focused on digital SRM implementation and continuous improvement.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
P2P (Procure-to-Pay), supplier onboarding, contract management, supplier performance management, risk management, digital signature integration, and category management.
Strong functional and technical understanding of SAP S/4HANA, specifically procurement and supply chain modules; experience with SAP Ariba is highly preferred.
- Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Tableau), data visualization, and understanding of how AI/ML can be applied to supplier data (e.g., predictive supplier risk, spend analytics).
- Practical knowledge of RPA (Robotic Process Automation) and BPM (Business Process Management) tools and their application in procurement processes like P2P automation
- Familiarity with cloud-based SRM solutions and SaaS deployment models like Ivalua.
- Experience with developing or integrating supplier portals & e-commerce functionalities
- Understanding of API integrations, EDI, and other data exchange mechanisms between internal systems and external supplier platforms.
- Proficiency in agile and waterfall project management methodologies.
- Basic understanding of data security principles relevant to managing sensitive supplier information. Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other productivity tools.

QUALIFICATION:
- Master's degree (MBA, M.Sc. in Supply Chain Management, or equivalent).
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Procurement, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 12-15 years of progressive experience in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or Supply Chain IT roles.
- At least 6-8 years of leadership experience specifically focused on Supplier Relationship Management or Digital Procurement, with a strong emphasis on technology implementation and transformation. Significant Industry Experience (3+ years) within the Oil and Gas industry, particularly in large-scale onshore operations, covering procurement/supply chain for upstream, midstream, and/or downstream.
- Experience in other asset-heavy, large-scale industries with complex supply chain.
- Proven track record of leading or playing a critical role in the successful implementation and adoption of major SRM, e-procurement, or ERP (SAP S/4HANA procurement modules) systems in a large enterprise.
- Direct experience leading projects involving RPA, BPM, or other process automation technologies in a procurement or supply chain context.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage strong relationships with key suppliers, leveraging technology to foster collaboration.
CERTIFICATIONS:
- Certified Professional in Supply Management CPSM or CPM - ISM.
- Certifications in SAP SRM modules or SAP S/4HANA Procurement.
- Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) – demonstrating process improvement capability.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
- Demonstrated ability to formulate and execute a compelling digital SRM strategy that drives value & aligns with organization's overarching digitalization & supply chain goals.
- Expert knowledge of modern SRM technologies, including SAP S/4HANA, Ivalua, data analytics, AI/ML, and automation tools, coupled with a strong understanding of procurement and supply chain processes in the oil and gas sector.
- Proven track record of leading successful digital transformation initiatives within procurement or supply chain, demonstrating strong leadership, change management capabilities, and the ability to achieve measurable business outcomes.
- Exceptional ability to collaborate effectively with internal business units, ICT, and external suppliers, building consensus and fostering strong, productive relationships.
- Capacity to identify complex SRM challenges and creatively apply digital solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and unlock new value from supplier relationships.
- Specific experience in oil and gas industry or similar capital intensive & manufacturing industries, understand supply chain complexities & regulatory environment.
- Evidence of driving tangible improvements in supplier performance, cost savings, risk mitigation, and overall supply chain efficiency through digital SRM initiatives.
