Sr. MEP Engineer

Position Summary

The Senior MEP Engineer is responsible for leading the design, coordination, and execution of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems for building and infrastructure projects. The role ensures technical excellence, code compliance, multidisciplinary coordination, and high-quality project delivery.

Key Responsibilities1. MEP Design & Engineering

• Lead the design and review of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting, and ELV systems.
• Perform system calculations: heat load, ventilation, electrical load, lighting, cable sizing, pump head, and water demand.
• Prepare detailed design drawings, schematics, and layouts using Revit/AutoCAD.
• Ensure compliance with international and local standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, IS Codes, NBC).

2. Project Coordination

• Coordinate with architects, structural, and all MEP disciplines for integrated design.
• Lead multidisciplinary design meetings, workshops, and clash-resolution sessions.
• Guide junior engineers, CAD/BIM technicians, and supervise project-wide MEP workflows.
• Interface with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors for technical discussions.

3. Documentation & Technical Reports

• Prepare BOQs, specifications, design basis reports, and tender documents.
• Review and approve material submittals, shop drawings, method statements, and design calculations.
• Validate project documents to ensure completeness, accuracy, and engineering intent.

4. Construction & Site Support

• Conduct periodic site inspections to ensure installation matches approved drawings.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely engineering solutions.
• Monitor testing, commissioning, and QA/QC activities for all MEP systems.
• Review as-built drawings and participate in project handover documentation.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire systems, and ELV integration.
• Expertise in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks (clash detection), and calculation tools.
• Deep knowledge of building codes, fire safety standards, and energy-efficient design.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and lead cross-functional teams.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.
• 7–15+ years of experience in MEP design, coordination, or project execution.
• Experience with high-rise, commercial, residential, industrial, and/or healthcare projects.

Preferred

• Experience in BIM-based MEP coordination.
• Knowledge of green building standards (LEED, WELL, IGBC).
• Exposure to digital engineering tools and 3D/4D coordination workflows.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹509,468.15 - ₹1,747,614.90 per year
