Job Purpose

To act as a strategic HR partner to the Sales function, enabling business growth through talent management, performance optimization, and people-centric initiatives. The role demands strong leadership, negotiation acumen, and deep understanding of FMCG distribution dynamics.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Partnership

  • Collaborate with Sales leadership to align HR strategies with business goals
  • Drive workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational design
  • Act as a trusted advisor on people matters, team dynamics, and leadership development

Performance & Capability Building

  • Design and implement performance management frameworks tailored to sales KPIs
  • Identify training needs and roll out programs on selling skills, negotiation, and leadership
  • Promote a high-performance culture through coaching and feedback

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Lead recruitment for sales roles across regions, ensuring cultural and capability fit
  • Drive seamless onboarding and early engagement for new hires
  • Partner with internal stakeholders for talent pipeline

Employee Engagement & Relations

  • Develop engagement programs to retain top sales talent
  • Resolve employee relations issues with empathy and fairness
  • Conduct pulse surveys and action planning to improve morale

HR Analytics & Reporting

  • Use data to track attrition, performance, engagement, and training effectiveness
  • Present insights to Sales leadership and recommend interventions
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies

Compensation & Incentives

  • Partner with C&B team to design competitive incentive structures
  • Ensure alignment of rewards with sales outcomes and business priorities
  • Support annual appraisal and compensation review cycles

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: MBA in HR / Business Administration
  • Experience: 10+ years in HRBP roles, with 5+ years supporting Sales in FMCG
  • Skills: Leadership, Negotiation, Talent Management, HR Analytics, Stakeholder Management
  • Tools: HRIS, ATS, Excel, PowerPoint, 
  • Traits: Influential, empathetic, data-driven, agile, business-oriented
