Troubleshoot backup failures, job delays, and media issues and provide timely resolution. Prepare technical documentation , runbooks, and implementation reports. Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and application teams for seamless deployments. Provide training or handover sessions to operations/support teams post-deployment. Adhere to ITIL practices such as Change Management and Incident Management . Required Skills and Qualifications: Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience with Veritas NetBackup (v8.x and above). Experience with Veritas Flex Appliances (configuration, maintenance, upgrades). Good understanding of backup architecture , SAN/NAS integration, and enterprise storage. Proficiency in managing backup policies for virtual environments (VMware/Hyper-V) . Experience with cloud-based backups (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud) is a plus. Strong scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) for automation is desirable. Working knowledge of Linux and Windows Server environments . Familiarity with monitoring tools and backup job scheduling tools.
