Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Production Engineering Experience: 15 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in the construction equipment or automotive industry, with minimum 5 years in a leadership role Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) OR Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) Special Skills: Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Tools Technical Competencies: Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) ERP systems Computer-Aided Quality (CAQ) softwares Work Environment: office-based, factory & fieldwork Physical Demands: travel as per requirement 1. Primary Responsibilities: Quality Assurance Strategy & Leadership. Develop and implement quality assurance strategies that ensure product reliability, customer satisfaction, and adherence to compliance standards. Oversee the entire QA function, including Quality at Source (Pune), Inward Quality (Goa), WIP/FG/PDI Quality, and Field Quality for both line and boom pumps. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams (Fabrication, Machining, Hydraulics, Electricals, etc.). Monitoring & Control Conduct root cause analysis for any quality defects identified at various stages (WIP, FG, and PDI). Supervise the performance of rework analysis and provide corrective action plans to minimize defects. Collaborate with design and production teams on New Product Development (NPD) to ensure quality standards are maintained during prototype and product launch phases. Supplier Quality Management Work closely with the sourcing team to ensure quality standards are adhered to by suppliers, including for import bought-out parts. Lead inward quality performance reviews and establish robust incoming inspection criteria for all components. Customer & Field Quality: Monitor field quality feedback and implement corrective actions to address functional, hydraulic, and electrical quality issues in the field. Ensure that all customer complaints related to product quality are promptly resolved and preventive measures are implemented. 2. Secondary Responsibilities: Compliance & Standards: Ensure adherence to national and international quality standards (ISO 9001, etc.). Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory requirements Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the QA team to enhance their skills and drive a culture of quality ownership. Establish clear performance goals for QA managers at both Goa and Pune locations.
