Job Description

Role Overview: WSP India is seeking a Sr. Engineer Mechanical (Packages) for Australia Mining Infrastructure Projects. As an Sr. Engineer, you will be responsible for the engineering design of Piping, static & rotary equipment in compliance with WSP Engineering and Client Standards. Your previous experience in an EPCM environment in industries like O & G, Power, Chemical process plant, and Mining processing will be an asset. You should be a team player willing to work collaboratively with a motivated and successful team in Australia. This position is based in Bangalore/Noida/Mumbai. Key Responsibilities: - In-depth knowledge of piping design codes and standards such as ASME B31.3, ASME B31.4, and ASME B31.8. - Design and develop piping systems and components, review detailed piping layout drawings, and collaborate with the project team to ensure compliance with specifications and standards. - Provide expert guidance in the selection and specification of rotating equipment like pumps, compressors, and blowers. - Prepare project standards, technical specifications, valve material specifications, and RFQs for piping bulk items. - Assist in interfacing with engineering and construction groups, resolve piping material related bottlenecks, and develop inspection and testing plans for tanks and vessels. - Communicate work progress to supervisors, participate in design activities, ensure quality procedures are implemented, and support health & safety practices. - Provide regular work status updates, communicate with internal peers and project team, and participate in enhancing WSP service to clients. Qualifications Required: - 10-14 years of experience in piping, static, and rotary equipment engineering. - Minimum of a bachelor's degree and preferred master's degree in mechanical engineering. - Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills with attention to detail. - Familiarity with working in a LEAN environment and experience with projects in Australia and New Zealand. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. P. ENG qualification would be an added advantage.,
