Sr Data Engineer
Position Overview
We are looking for a
Data Engineer
to join our growing engineering team and helpshape the core data infrastructure that powers the Datalogz platform. You will beresponsible for building and maintaining reliable, scalable data pipelines thatintegrate metadata and usage information from leading BI platforms such as
Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, and Spotfire
.This role is ideal for someone who loves working with complex datasets,optimizing performance, and ensuring data consistency across systems. You’llwork closely with backend engineers, product managers, and data scientists todeliver trusted, analytics-ready data that drives product insights and customeroutcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain data ingestion and transformation pipelines
thatunify data across BI tools and sources.Develop and optimize workflows using
Airflow (MWAA)
, ensuring reliabilityand efficiency across ETL jobs.Use
DBT
and
SQL
to model data and create scalable, maintainabletransformations for analytics and lineage insights.Collaborate with backend and product teams to ensure data quality, schemadesign, and integration with customer-facing systems.Sr Data Engine1Work with large datasets stored in
Snowflake
and
PostgreSQL
, focusing onperformance, normalization, and maintainability.Build internal frameworks for
metadata tracking, lineage extraction, and
connector performance analytics.
Participate in defining data architecture and governance standards thatimprove data accessibility, reliability, and compliance.Troubleshoot, optimize, and document ETL processes to support long-termmaintainability.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or
related field
preferred.
3–6 years
of experience as a
Data Engineer
or in a similar data-focused role.Strong proficiency in
SQL
and
Python
, with experience building andmaintaining ETL pipelines.Experience with
DBT
,
Airflow (MWAA)
, and modern data orchestration tools.Hands-on experience with
Snowflake
,
PostgreSQL
, or equivalent cloud datawarehouses.Familiarity with
metadata management
,
data lineage
, or
analytics
observability
concepts.Understanding of
data modeling best practices
, schema evolution, and datavalidation.Exposure to
BI platforms
(Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, or Spotfire) is a strong plus.Excellent communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working in a
