Sr. Accountant

The Sr. Accountant is the main pillar of the organization, responsible to continuously monitor and control the financial health of the organization and ensures all legal and statutory compliance for the organization as and when required.

Role and Responsibilities

· Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.

. Experience in International Import and export.

· Ensure complete knowledge of accounting software and the possible additions to that.

· Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end closure of accounts. These to be done by conducting internal audits of all the records on monthly basis and preparing financial statements and ratio analysis on a quarterly and yearly basis.

· Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information to the management.

· Ensure timely submission of reports to the banks, companies’ registrar and any other government authority.

· Ensure the accurate and timely processing of positive pay transactions.

· Ensure the monthly and quarterly Bank Compliance activities are performed in a timely and accurate manner.

· Establish the budgeting and forecasting activities for the organization.

· Establish the goals and objectives of the finance department and device strategies to achieve them.

· Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

· Advises staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions.

· Responds to inquiries from the Directors regarding financial results, special reporting requests and the like.

· Work with the CA to ensure a clean and timely year end audit followed by finalizing of accounts.

· Supervise the general ledger group to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.

· Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.

· Provide training to new and existing staff as needed.

· To get all routine work done from sub-ordinates in a timely manner.

· To monitor the cash flow position and ensure timely payments to suppliers as well as timely collection of payments from the customers.

· To supervise payroll and ensure salary payments to all employees.

· To scrutinize travel vouchers of employees and ensure that there is no over spending.

· To scrutinize the service personnel visits and ensure that each visit has been charged to the end customer and excessive discounts are not passed on to the customers for spares and services.

· Prepare the set of documents for submitting to various private and government agencies for processing of loans, cash credit limits, term loans and any other thing which requires financial documents.

· Submitting the bill of entries to the bank from time to time.

· Ensuring that invoices and other statements are prepared on time for sales in India as well as export shipments.

· Handling statuary dues like TDS, GST, VAT and Excise and ensuring the cash flow requirements for these dues and timely payment of all these dues.

· Attend various government agencies time and again on behalf of the company in case of regular reporting as well as in case of special notices of any discrepancy

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
