Job Description

Job Title: SQL Developer Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary: Metacube Software is seeking a skilled SQL Developer to join our dynamic team and support our data management needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL development, particularly with Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL). This role focuses on performance tuning, indexing, database design, and SQL coding. Please note that we are not looking for candidates with a background in reporting or Business Intelligence (BI) work. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and triggers. Create and maintain data models, schemas, and database objects. Collaborate with ETL teams to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources. Work closely with developers and business users to understand data requirements and build efficient, scalable solutions. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across platforms. Troubleshoot performance issues and recommend solutions to optimize database performance. Document solutions, data structures, and workflows for future reference. Maintain database security and implement data access controls as needed. Required Skills and Qualifications: Proficiency in SQL (or PL/SQL if working with Oracle). Hands-on experience with at least one RDBMS (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server). Strong understanding of relational database design, normalization, and indexing. Ability to analyze and optimize long-running SQL queries. Familiarity with data warehousing and data modeling concepts is a plus. Basic knowledge of scripting or programming languages (Python, PowerShell, etc.) is an advantage.
