Primary responsibilities of the SQL Developer include supporting and writing database functions, stored procedures, triggers, and packages for Oracle and SQL Server.

The candidate will be in a Dev Ops role and will work closely with Business, DBA, ETL and Data Management teams providing analysis and support for complex Data related initiatives. This individual will be responsible for evaluating business requirements and implementing the best solution following best practices from a database perspective.

Responsibilities

Tune application SQL queries for performance optimization

• Convert user stories into application logic; reports, printed outputs, and interfaces with other systems
• Ability to turn high-level requirements into a working solution through iterative development
• Create acceptance criteria and validate work products developed
• Develop, validate, and maintain solutions written in Oracle and SQL Server
• Help write and optimize in-application SQL statements
• Help Reporting developers solve data load, data quality issues
• Analyze and convert business requirements to technical requirements, followed by design and implement the solutions
• Provide production deployment and production support as needed
• Validate data in the tables as appropriate
• Validate the data quality for individual reports as based on business requirements
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

Qualifications

2+ years of Oracle PL/SQL development

• 2+ years of SQL Server database development
• 2+ years of SQL experience working in OLTP, Data Warehouse and Big Data databases
• 2+ years with data analytics experience
• Extensive background in writing complex queries
• Extensive working knowledge of all aspects of Data Movement and Processing, including ETL, API, OLAP and best practices for data tracking
• Strong attention to Detail
• Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team
• Good Communication skills
• Self-Motivated
• Works well in a team environment
• Big Data Experience a plus (Hadoop, MongoDB, Exadata)
