Job Description

Job Title: SQL Database Administrator

Experience: 1–3 Years
Location: Mohali

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases.
Monitor database performance and ensure high availability and security.
Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
Perform regular database backups, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
Troubleshoot database issues, including performance bottlenecks and connectivity.
Implement database changes, patches, and upgrades.
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with company policies.
Collaborate with developers to optimize database designs and queries.
Generate reports and provide support for business intelligence tools.

Required Skills:

Strong knowledge of SQL Server database architecture.
Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries.
Experience with database backup, restore, and recovery methods.
Knowledge of performance tuning and query optimization.
Familiarity with indexing, partitioning, and replication.
Basic knowledge of security and user access management.
Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (e.g., SQL Profiler, Performance Monitor).
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
Experience with cloud databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS) is a plus.
Knowledge of PostgreSQL/MySQL/NoSQL databases is an added advantage.
