Job Description

The Specialist, Total Rewards, working under general direction, is responsible for supporting the Total Rewards projects, such as compensation studies, job evaluations, etc., with fairness and consistency in a timely manner. This role will conduct daily operations including investigations, mediations, and administration of company policies and procedures related to compensation and benefits programs. Additionally, the role will also be responsible for staying updated on trends and industry practices within the Total Rewards domain, collaborating with teams to implement training programs, and ensuring compliance with policies. The role would also maintain accurate and confidential records and data related to Total Rewards matters.

Education:

  • Bachelor s Degree or Master s Degree (preferred) in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Finance, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience.

  • Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of work experience with a Master s degree or 5 years of work experience with a Bachelor s degree, preferably in Total Rewards or a related field.

  • Licenses and Certifications:

  • Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) (Preferred)

  • Certified Compensation Professional (Preferred)

  • Work Requirements:

  • Involves occasional (defined as one-third or less of the time) lifting of no more than 10 pounds at a time. Work is performed primarily in a seated position and entails no significant stooping, standing, climbing, walking, etc. Many sedentary jobs require good use of the hands and fingers for repetitive hand-finger actions. Working conditions occur within low to moderate noise levels related to the use of standard office or classroom equipment.

  • Supports projects based on Rewards (Compensation and Benefits) policies and programs. Supports review, update, and development of existing or design of new Rewards programs.

  • Supports compensation benchmarking and market analysis to ensure the companys pay practices remain competitive. Provides strategic recommendations to senior leadership regarding compensation and benefits adjustments to support talent acquisition and retention goals.

  • Supports administration and execution of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and other fringe benefits. Assists in the evaluation of the effectiveness of existing benefits programs and recommends improvements or changes based on industry trends and employee feedback.

  • Stays updated on relevant legislation and regulations to ensure compensation and benefits compliance and mitigate potential risks. Provides interpretation in areas where policy, procedure, or requirements are unclear. Assists in preparing compliance reports, disclosures, and filings as required.

  • Supports input and submissions of external compensation and benefits surveys. Processes compensation and benefits changes resulting from merit increases, promotions, or other job changes, market adjustments, and payments associated with incentive or compensation plans.

  • Supports analytical studies for Total Rewards projects, such as compensation studies, workforce trends, etc. Coordinates with analytics team to gather relevant compensation & benefits data, generate reports and insights for HR and business leadership, utilizing HRIS and other data sources.

  • Implements company policies, protocols, and procedures in the domains of compensation and benefits (Merit increase, bonus plan review, managing benefit plans enrollment, etc.) in compliance with laws and regulations.

  • Supports in conducting training sessions and workshops to increase employee understanding and appreciation of benefits. Supports vendor research to help with the roll-out and maintenance of Total Rewards programs.

  • Participates in the delivery of Total Rewards special projects by representing the team as the prime contact, coordinating with senior internal and industry personnel, integrating data and information from multiple sources to identify trends, and evaluating multiple tangible and intangible variables to develop solutions.

  • Demonstrates full knowledge of industry best practices in Total Rewards subjects such as compensation competitiveness, employee engagement, etc. along with a strong understanding and application of related concepts and principles. Coaches and guides managers and employees on matters related to Total Rewards.
